Gemini CLI

Gemini CLI is Google’s open-source AI agent for the terminal. With the Geekflare extension installed, Gemini can search the web, scrape pages, take screenshots, and run website checks.

Setup

Extension (Recommended)
MCP only

Install the official extension. It adds the Geekflare MCP server and the Geekflare skill together:

gemini extensions install https://github.com/geekflare/geekflare-skills

Gemini CLI prompts for GEEKFLARE_API_KEY during install and stores it as a sensitive setting, so you don’t paste the key into a config file.The extension is listed in the Gemini CLI extension gallery.

To add only the MCP server, add this to ~/.gemini/settings.json:

Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your Geekflare API key.
