Quick Start Guide

Welcome to Geekflare Connect, the Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) platform that unifies your team’s access to the world’s best AI models. This guide will walk you through the essential steps to connect your existing AI provider keys, set up your workspace, and start collaborating. In less than 5 minutes, you and your team will be able to chat with your favorite AI models using your own API keys, all from a single interface.

Step 1: Sign Up & Log In

This is your entry point to the Geekflare AI ecosystem.

1. Create Your Account by visiting the Geekflare AI and clicking the Get Started Free button. You can also go directly to the signup page here.
2. Choose Your Sign-Up Method you can sign up instantly using your Google Account or with your email address and a password.
3. Verify Your Email (If Needed) If you use your email address to sign up, we will send a verification link to your inbox. You must click this link to confirm your account.

   Note: Didn’t receive the email? Please check your spam or junk folder.

Once this process is completed, you can log in to Geekflare AI.

Step 2: Set Up Your Workspace

After logging in for the first time, you’ll complete a quick, one-time setup to configure your account for either team or individual use. Based on your needs, choose one of the three options available.

For Business or Team Use

This is the recommended path for companies and teams who want to collaborate.

1. Select Business / Teams.
2. On the next screen, you will be prompted to set up your organization and your first workspace.
   • Organization Name: This is the top-level account for your company (e.g., “Acme Inc.”). It will contain all your users, workspaces, and billing information.
   • Workspace Name: Workspaces are used to organize chats and prompts by project, team, or topic (e.g., “Marketing Team” or “HR Team”).
   
3. Fill in both fields and click Continue. You will then proceed to the API keys page.

For Personal Use

If you are a single user, this is the quickest way to get started.

1. Select Personal.
2. You will skip the organization setup and be taken directly to the next step: connecting your API keys. A default workspace will be created for you automatically.

Joining an Existing Organization

If you have been invited to Geekflare AI by a colleague:

1. Select Join an organization.
2. You will see a list of pending invitations. Simply accept to be added to your team’s workspace, and you can get started immediately.

Step 3: Connect Your AI Provider Keys

This is the final and most important step of the setup process. Connecting an API key from a provider like OpenAI, Google Gemini or Anthropic is what enables the AI chat functionality in Geekflare Connect.

💡 Why BYOK? Connecting your own keys gives you full control over your AI spending, access to your fine-tuned models, and ensures you can leverage any pre-existing deals you have with AI providers.

To Add a Key

1. Click on a Provider: Select the AI provider you want to connect (e.g., “OpenAI”).
2. Paste Your Key: A dialog box will appear. Paste your secret API key from that provider into the field.
3. Save and Continue: Click the Save button. The provider will now be active.
4. Once you’ve added at least one key, click the Continue button at the bottom of the screen.

Where do I find my API key? You must generate an API key from your account on the respective AI provider’s website. For example, for OpenAI, you would log in to platform.openai.com/api-keys.

Don’t Have Your Keys Ready?

No problem. You can skip this for now by clicking I’ll do this later. You can add your keys at any time from the main dashboard by navigating to Settings → API Keys. Please note that you will not be able to start a chat until at least one key is added.

You’re All Set!

Once you click Continue, you’ll see a success screen confirming that your workspace is ready. Click Go to my workspace to enter the main chat interface. Now you can select your favorite model from the dropdown menu and start your first conversation! Congratulations 🥳 on completing the setup! You’ve successfully configured your Geekflare Connect workspace.
